PENDRAGON BREAKS WORLD RECORD BY MAKING THE LARGEST ENVELOPE IN THE WORLD
On 6th May 2010 Tarika Vara adjudicator of Guinness Book of Records confirmed the envelope measured 32 feet and 9 inches by 23 feet and half an inch comfortably exceeding the previous record set in Algeria. Philately experts Stanley Gibbons commissioned Pendragon to create the envelope, complete with address and franking labels.. It was made at Great Malvern Primary School and it weighed 25kg and on completion was transported on a 40ft truck for display at the London 2010 International Stamp Exhibition at the Design Centre Islington.
The project was subject to our normal stringent procedures, including a scaled down version from our design and sampling department.
